The Lakers have lost seven of their previous ten games and are clinging to possession of eighth place in the Western Conference standings. On Friday, Los Angeles was outscored by 13 points during the fourth quarter of a 119-112 home loss versus New York. The Lakers turned the ball over 17 times and shot 44 percent on the evening.

Los Angeles F Brandon Ingram led five Los Angeles players in double figures with 21 points and nine rebounds. Lonzo Ball added 17 points and six rebounds for the Lakers. The Minnesota Timberwolves have won 13 of their 19 home games and trail the Lakers by three full games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Friday, Minnesota overcame a sluggish start to rally for a 120-103 home victory versus Orlando. The Timberwolves dominated the Magic on the glass by a 63-42 margin and shot 52 percent from the floor.

Minnesota C Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 29 points and pulled down 15 rebounds. Jeff Teague contributed 23 points and ten assists for the Timberwolves.

Los Angeles F LeBron James (groin) will not play in this contest and F Kyle Kuzma (back) is listed as questionable.
