Kyle Kuzma scored 32 points to lead the Lakers in the overtime win. LeBron James continues to be sidelined and is expected to miss at least Saturday’s game with Houston and possibly one more game.
Houston lost its most recent outing 145-142 in overtime at home against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The Rockets were led in the loss by James Harden with 58 points, but it was not enough to defeat the Nets. Harden has scored 30 or more points in 18 straight games and 40 or more in nine of his last 12.
LeBron James leads the Lakers in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game. Kyle Kuzma is the second leading scorer with an average of 19.0 points per game. Five Lakers average double figures in scoring. Los Angeles is shooting 47.0% from the field and 33.8% from three-point territory.
James Harden leads the Rockets in scoring and assists with averages of 35.4 points and 8.5 assists per game. Clint Capela is the leading rebounder with an average of 12.6 per game. As a team, Houston is shooting 44.8% from the field and 35.2% from 3-point territory.
