Lakers at Heat 12/13/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Friday night NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Los Angeles Lakers will visit American Airlines Arena to face the Miami Heat. The Lakers (22-3) are riding a five-game winning streak and are tied with Milwaukee for the best record in the league. On Wednesday, Los Angeles limited Orlando to nine points over the first 12 minutes of a 96-87 road victory.

LeBron James led all scorers with 25 points to go along with 11 rebounds and ten assists. Anthony Davis chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Lakers.

The MIami Heat (18-6) are undefeated through the first ten games on their home floor and trail Milwaukee by 3.5 games for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. On Wednesday, Miami closed the game on a 24-4 run to score an improbable 135-121 overtime victory versus Atlanta. The Heat outrebounded the Hawks by 16 and shot 52 percent from the field.

Rookie G Kendrick Nunn poured in a game high 36 points on a 14-for-26 shooting performance. Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler combined for 50 points, while each recording a triple-double.

Los Angeles F Kyle Kuzma (left ankle) did not play on Wednesday and is listed as questionable for this matchup. These two teams rank in the top eight in offensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Miami to hand Los Angeles their fourth loss of the season. Final Score Prediction, Miami Heat win and cover ATS 116-109.
