Game Three of the Western Conference Semifinals will tip-off on Tuesday night, when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets square off from the Walt Disney World Resort. The top-seeded Lakers lost the opening game in consecutive series, but bounded back on Sunday with a 117-109 victory versus Houston. Los Angeles raced out to a 16-point lead after one quarter and shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field overall.

Los Angeles F Anthony Davis led all scorers with 34 points on 15-for-24 shooting and grabbed ten rebounds. LeBron James contributed 28 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists for the Lakers.

The Houston Rockets have committed to small ball for head coach Mike D’Antoni and are the top-rated defensive team since the restart. In Game Two, Houston rallied from a 21-point deficit to take a lead in the fourth quarter before falling short down the stretch. The Rockets connected on 22-for-53 from long distance and were outrebounded by a 49-43 margin.

All five Houston starters scored in double figures and were led by James Harden with 27 points and seven assists. P.J. Tucker added 18 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Rockets.

Los Angeles C JaVale McGee is dealing with a left ankle injury and is listed as questionable for this contest. Houston’s approach is working and they have what it takes to make a title run.
