Game Four of the Western Conference Finals will take place on Thursday night, when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets square off from the Walt Disney Resort. On Tuesday, Los Angeles made a furious fourth quarter rally before falling short by a 114-106 final score. The Lakers trailed by as many as 20 points in the second half and missed 20 of their 26 three-point attempts.
LeBron James led all scorers with 30 points to go along with 11 assists and ten rebounds. Anthony Davis added 27 points on 9-for-17 from the field in a losing effort for the Lakers.
The Denver Nuggets are no strangers to trailing this postseason and did not panic after falling behind 2-0 in this best-of-seven series. In Game Three, Denver took advantage of a small Los Angeles lineup to start the second quarter and built a 44-30 lead. The Nuggets pounded the Lakers on the glass by a 53-34 margin and shot a sizzling 55 percent from the floor.
Denver G Jamal Murray continued his breakout postseason performance with a team-high 28 points and 12 assists. Nikola Joki contributed 22 points and ten rebounds for the Nuggets.
