LA Clippers at Utah Jazz 6/10/21 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the second game of a Thursday night NBA on ESPN playoff doubleheader, the Los Angeles Clippers will battle the Utah Jazz from Vivint Arena. On Tuesday, LA was unable to protect a 13-point halftime lead during a 112-109 road loss against Utah. The fourth-seeded Clippers connected on 16-for-42 from the three-point line and shot 42 percent overall.

LA F Kawhi Leonard tallied a team-high 23 points on 9-for-19 from the field and pulled down seven boards. Paul George added 20 points (4-17 FG) and ten rebounds for the Clippers.

The Utah Jazz won 31 of their 36 home games during the regular season and edged out Phoenix by one full game for the best overall record in the league. In the series opener, Utah used a 32-19 third quarter to draw even and led by as many as ten points. The Jazz knocked down 17-for-50 from long distance and shot 41 percent overall.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell poured in a game-high 45 points on 16-for-30 shooting and dished out five assists. Jordan Clarkson chipped in 18 points in 28 minutes off the Utah bench.

Los Angeles F/C Serge Ibaka (back) did not travel with the team for Game One and is unlikely to play in this game. The Clippers missed a golden opportunity to steal the series opener and the Jazz will send them home facing a 2-0 series deficit. Take Utah to win and cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win 114-107.
