Last Updated: 01/06/2022 at 9:38 AM ET

The final game of the Thursday NBA schedule will feature a matchup between the LA Clippers and the Phoenix Suns. The Clippers (19-19) are playing without All-Star G Paul George and have dropped seven of their previous ten games. On Monday, LA trailed by 18 points at halftime during a 122-104 home loss versus Minnesota.

Serge Ibaka was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and led five LA players in double figures with 17 points. Justise Winslow added 15 points and three steals in a losing effort for the Clippers.

The Phoenix Suns have won 16 of their first 20 home games and trail Golden State by a half-game for the best overall record in the league. On Tuesday, Phoenix exploded for 42 points during the fourth quarter and cruised to a 123-110 road victory against New Orleans. The Suns (29-8) assisted on 32 of their 46 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall.

All-Star G Devin Booker poured in a game-high 33 points on 12-for-24 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. Veteran G Chris Paul contributed 11 points and 15 assists for the Suns.

Phoenix C Deandre Ayton (health and safety protocols) has missed the last few games and is unlikely to play in this contest. The Suns rank fourth in the league in offensive efficiency and tempo, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on the Clippers to cover on the road. Final Score Prediction, Phoenix Suns win 115-109.
