LA Clippers at Oklahoma City Thunder 10/27/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

A rematch will take place on Thursday night, when the LA Clippers and the Oklahoma City Thunder square off from the Paycom Center. The Clippers (2-2) are hoping to keep their star duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George healthy, which would make them one of the favorites in the Western Conference. On Tuesday, Leonard (knee) and George (illness) did not suit up during a 108-94 road loss against Oklahoma City.

Luke Kennard led the Clippers with 15 points in 29 minutes off the bench. LA C Ivica Zubac added 10 points, 14 rebounds, and seven blocks. The Clippers turned the ball over 19 times and shot just 42 percent from the field.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have amassed significant draft capital, but lost number two overall draft pick Chet Holmgren to a knee injury. Last time out, Oklahoma City led by six points at halftime and pulled away in the third quarter by outscoring LA 35-25. The Thunder (2-2) won despite missing 26 of their 30 three-point attempts and shooting 38 percent overall. Oklahoma City controlled the glass by a 60-47 margin.

Oklahoma City G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 33 points on 11-for-22 shooting and dished out eight assists. Tre Mann contributed 25 points, four assists, and four rebounds for the Clippers.

LA F Kawhi Leonard has been experiencing stiffness in his surgically repaired right knee and will not play in this game. The Clippers rank 27th in offensive efficiency and the Thunder rank 24th in that category. Look for LA to earn a split with a road victory. Final Score Prediction, LA Clippers win 114-102.
