The Memphis Grizzlies have dropped consecutive games and trail Golden State by 1.5 games for eighth place in the Western Conference standings. On Monday, Memphis fell behind by 13 points after one quarter and could never recover during a 102-92 road loss against Dallas. The Grizzlies (13-14) missed 25 of their 31 three-point attempts and shot just 39 percent overall.

Ja Morant led five Memphis players in double figures with 22 points and nine assists. Jonas Valanciunas added 11 points and 15 rebounds in a losing effort for the Grizzlies.
