The Brooklyn Nets have won 16 of their first 24 home games and traded All-Star G Kyrie Irving to Dallas on Sunday. On Saturday, Brooklyn erased a 23-point deficit to storm back for a 125-123 home victory versus Washington. The Nets (32-20) knocked down 14-for-33 from the three-point line and shot 50 percent overall.
Second-year pro Cam Thomas poured in a game-high 44 points on a 16-for-23 shooting performance in just 29 minutes off the Brooklyn bench. Edmond Sumner converted 9-for-10 from the charity stripe and finished with 29 points. Nic Claxton added 15 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists for the Nets.
