Knicks at Hawks 2/14/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

State Farm Arena will play host to a Thursday night NBA matchup between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks.

This will be the second of a back-to-back for New York, who was overmatched during last night’s 126-111 home loss versus Philadelphia. The Knicks allowed the 76ers to shoot 54 percent from the field and have now lost a franchise record 18 straight games.

Rookie G Allonzo Trier led six New York players in double figures with 19 points in 27 minutes off the bench. Mitchell Robinson added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Knicks. The Atlanta Hawks have lost 16 of their 25 home games so far this season and are rebuilding around rookie G Trae Young. On Tuesday, Atlanta was able to make the plays down the stretch of a 117-113 home victory versus Los Angeles. The Hawks out rebounded the Lakers by a 63-56 margin and knocked down 16-for-42 from the three-point line.

John Collins and Trae Young led a balanced Atlanta scoring attack with 22 points apiece. Taurean Prince chipped in 17 points and six rebounds for the Hawks.

New York G Frank Ntilikina (sore groin) will not be re-evaluated until after the All-Star Break. These two teams rank in the bottom four of the league in defensive efficiency and the Hawks play at the fastest tempo. Take the over on Thursday. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Hawks win high scoring over game 119-112.
