In Saturday night NBA action, the Sacramento Kings will invade Little Caesars Arena to face the Detroit Pistons.
The Kings are a game above .500 overall and trail Los Angeles by 1.5 games for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Thursday, Sacramento was outscored by 18 points during the second quarter of a 114-95 road loss at Charlotte. The Kings turned the ball over 18 times and shot 44 percent on the evening.
Sacramento G Buddy Hield led all scorers with 24 points on a 9-for-18 shooting performance. The rest of the starters combined to score just 27 points on 12-for-30 from the field.
The Detroit Pistons have won consecutive games and are in the playoff hunt for first year head coach Dwane Casey. Last night, Detroit outscored Miami by nine points during the fourth quarter of a 98-93 home victory. The Pistons forced 19 turnovers and knocked down 13 of their 33 three-point attempts.
Detroit F Blake Griffin poured in a game high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds and nine assists. Luke Kennard chipped in 22 points in 34 minutes off the bench for the Pistons.
