Kings at Hornets 1/17/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In Thursday night NBA action, the Sacramento Kings will travel to the Spectrum Center to take on the Charlotte Hornets.

The Kings have won three straight games and are currently just a half-game behind Los Angeles for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Monday, Sacramento built a ten-point halftime lead and cruised to a 115-107 home victory versus Portland. The Kings limited the Trail Blazers to just 40 percent from the field on the night.

Buddy Hield led a balanced Sacramento scoring attack with 19 points and seven rebounds. De’Aaron Fox contributed 16 points and nine assists for the Kings. The Charlotte Hornets have won 14 of their 22 home games and are clinging to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. On Monday, Charlotte snapped San Antonio’s seven-game home winning streak with a convincing 108-93 victory. The Hornets outrebounded the Spurs by a 53-44 margin and shot 47 percent from the field.

Charlotte G Kemba Walker led all scorers with 33 points and knocked down 7-for-13 from the three-point line. Veteran G Tony Parker chipped in eight points and four assists against his former team.

Charlotte C Cody Zeller is looking to return from a hand injury some time around the All-Star Break. These two teams rank in the bottom half of the league in defensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look. The stronger play is on Charlotte to get the job done at home. Final Score Prediction, Charlotte Hornets win and cover ATS 120-112.
