Jazz vs Nuggets 8/8/20 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Utah Jazz will conclude a back-to-back on Saturday when playing the Denver Nuggets after facing the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. Four starters will not play in Friday's Utah game with the Spurs and their status for Saturday's game with Denver is questionable. Utah defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 124-115 on Wednesday in their last game. Utah is in fifth place in the Western Conference.

Donovan Mitchell is leading Utah in scoring with an average of 24.0 points per game, while Rudy Gobert is the leading rebounder with an average of 13.6 per game and Joe Ingles is the leader in assists with an average of 5.1 per game. Utah has five players averaging double-figures in scoring.

Denver remained in third place in the Western Conference despite a 124-115 loss in its most recent game on Thursday to the Portland Trail Blazers. The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Denver. In the loss Michael Porter Jr. was the leading scorer and rebounder for Denver with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Nikola Jokic played just 24 minutes after sitting most of the fourth quarter.

Nikola Jokic is leading Denver in scoring, rebounding and assists with averages of 20.2 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. Second leading scorer Jamal Murray with an average of 18.8 points per game remains sidelined with a sore hamstring for the Nuggets.

Utah comes in sliding in the wrong direction as the Jazz have dropped to fifth place in the Western Conference standings after opening the seeding games in fourth place. Denver on the other hand appears to be resting some of its top players as the Nuggets starters did not play much of the 4th quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers. Utah fights harder on Saturday and comes up with the victory. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz wins and covers ATS 117-111.
