The Smoothie King Center will play host to a Thursday night NBA clash between the Utah Jazz and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Jazz (28-12) have reeled off ten straight victories and are currently five games behind the Lakers for the top spot in the West. On Tuesday, Utah built a 14-point halftime lead and cruised to a 118-107 road victory against Brooklyn.

Utah G/F Joe Ingles matched a career-high with 27 points on a 10-for-14 shooting performance. Rudy Gobert contributed 22 points and 18 rebounds for the Jazz.

The New Orleans Pelicans have won three of their last four games and are set to debut number one overall draft pick Zion Williamson next week. On Monday, New Orleans blew a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter and earned a 117-110 overtime victory at Detroit. The Pelicans (15-26) outrebounded the Pistons by a 73-56 margin on the night.

Jahlil Okafor led six New Orleans players in double figures with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Lonzo Ball added 17 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists for the Pelicans.

Utah G Mike Conley (left hamstring) has started getting shots up, but remains without a timetable to return. The Jazz are the better team in the major statistical categories, but have been on the road for an extended period of time. Take the Pelicans to score the upset. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Pelicans win in upset but grab the points just in case 115-111.
