A champion will be crowned on Sunday night, when the Indiana Pacers square off against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game Seven of the NBA Finals. The Pacers have won seven of their 11 road games during the postseason and rank third in offensive efficiency. In Game Six, Indiana outscored Oklahoma City by 19 points in the second quarter and cruised to a 108-91 home victory. 

Obi Toppin led six Indiana players in double figures with 20 points (6-12 FG) and six rebounds. Andrew Nembhard was active on the defensive end of the floor and chipped in 17 points. T.J. McConnell contributed 12 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and four steals off the bench for the Pacers.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have suffered just two home defeats in the playoffs and have won their ten home games by an average of 25 points. The Thunder lead the postseason in defensive efficiency and have held opponents under 100 points six times. During Thursday’s road loss, Oklahoma City committed 21 turnovers and missed 22 of 30 three-point attempts. 

MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a game-high 21 points and turned the ball over eight times. All-Star F Jalen Williams scored 16 points on 6-for-13 shooting and finished with an alarming minus 40 rating. The rest of the Thunder starting lineup combined for just 17 points on a woeful 6-for-18 shooting effort.  

Indiana G Tyrese Haliburton is dealing with a strained calf and played 23 minutes in Game Six. The Pacers averaged 116.8 points per game in the Eastern Conference Finals, but have seen that fall below 110 in this series. Trust the Thunder’s defense to be the difference at home.
