Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals will take place on Thursday night, when the Indiana Pacers battle the New York Knicks from Madison Square Garden. The fourth-seeded Pacers (3-1) have won six of their first seven road playoff games and are looking to win their first NBA title in franchise history. In Game Four, Indiana assisted on 29 of 45 made field goals and shot 51 percent overall during a 130-121 home victory versus New York. 

Indiana G Tyrese Haliburton led all scorers with 32 points (11-23 FG) to go along with 15 assists and 12 rebounds. All-Star F Pascal Siakam chipped in 30 points on 11-for-21 shooting and pulled down five boards. Bennedict Mathurin scored 20 points in just 12 minutes off the bench for the Pacers. 

The New York Knicks dropped the first two games of this series on their home floor and are looking to become the 14th team in NBA history to rally from a 3-1 deficit. The third-seeded Knicks rank seventh during the playoffs in offensive efficiency and are averaging 117.5 points per game in the conference finals. During Tuesday’s road loss, New York connected on 12-for-28 from long distance and shot 46 percent overall.

All-Star G Jalen Brunson led five New York players in double figures with 31 points (11-12 FT) and five assists. All-Star F Karl-Anthony Towns scored 24 points on 8-for-15 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds. OG Anunoby added 22 points and four boards for the Knicks, who outrebounded the Pacers by a 44-33 margin. 

Indiana F Aaron Nesmith played through an ankle injury in Game Four and scored 16 points in 32 minutes of action. The Knicks have been the better rebounding team, but will have to cut down on their turnovers to extend this series. Look for a Jalen Brunson masterclass and for New York to cover at home.
