Indiana Pacers at Brooklyn Nets 10/31/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Barclays Center will play host to a Monday night NBA clash between the Indiana Pacers and the Brooklyn Nets. The Pacers (3-4) are rebuilding with some talented, young players and must improve on a defense that ranks third worst in efficiency. On Saturday, outscored Brooklyn by seven points during the fourth quarter to pull away for a surprising 125-116 road victory.

Rookie G Bennedict Mathurin led Indiana with 32 points (10-10 FT) and five rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench. Tyrese Haliburont contributed 26 points and eight assists for the Pacers, who knocked down 23-for-46 from the three-point line.

The Brooklyn Nets have one of the most talented rosters in the league, but have not shown a commitment to defense. During Saturday’s home loss, the Nets (1-5) were dominated on the glass by a 53-34 margin and trailed by as many as 15 points. Brooklyn assisted on 29 of their 41 made field goals and shot 50 percent overall.

Brooklyn G Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 35 points on 13-for-22 from the field and dished out six assists. All-Star F Kevin Durant added 26 points (8-20 FG) and five rebounds in a losing effort for the Nets.

Indiana C Myles Turner (left ankle) did not play in Saturday’s victory and is expected to play in this game. These are two of the worst three teams in the league in defensive efficiency. The Nets are a mess and cannot be trusted to cover. Take the over. Final Score Prediction, Brooklyn Nets win 126-118.
