Houston Rockets at Portland Trail Blazers 10/28/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Houston Rockets continued a road trip Friday night as they travel up north to Portland, OR to take on the Portland Trail Blazers. Houston comes into Friday struggling thus far this season with only one win through their first five games played following a six point loss against Utah. Offensively Houston was abysmal from the floor making only 38.3% of their shots and 27.5% from beyond the arc, while turning the ball over 19 times leading to the loss.

Kevin Porter Jr.  led the way for the Houston offense with 24 points on 22 shots in 35 minutes on the floor. Jalen Green added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Eric Gordon chipped in 16 points in 30 minutes as well. Garrison Mathews and Kenyon Martin Jr. led the way off the bench with 11 points each.

The Portland Trail Blazers will remain at home Friday night following their first loss of the season against the Miami Heat on Wednesday. Offensively Portland had one of their worst games of the season making only 43.6% of their shots and 32.4% from beyond the arc after turning the ball over 18 times in route to the loss. Defensively Portland struggled as well as Miami scored 119 points on 50.6% shooting from the floor.

Damian Lillard led the way for the Portland offense with 22 points on six of 13 shooting in 26 minutes on the floor. Anfernee Simons added a second best 14 points and Jerami Grant scored 11 points in 28 minutes as well. Rookie Shaedon Sharpe poured in a team high 15 points in 21 minutes off the bench.
