Hornets at Wizards 11/22/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Southeast Division rivals will square off on Friday night, when the Charlotte Hornets travel to Capital One Arena to face the Washington Wizards. The Hornets have one of the youngest rosters in the league and are three games below .500 overall. On Wednesday, Charlotte managed just 40 points during the second half of a 101-91 road loss against Brooklyn.

Terry Rozier led five Charlotte players in double figures with 18 points and six rebounds. Devonte Graham added 17 points and six assists for the Hornets.

The Washington Wizards are playing without PG John Wall (Achilles) and are not expected to compete for a playoff spot in the East. Despite losing eight of their first 12 games, the Wizards rank first in the league in scoring (119.7 ppg). On Wednesday, Washington exploded for 75 points during the second half of a 138-132 home victory versus San Antonio.

All-Star G Bradley Beal led all scorers with 34 points on a 14-for-24 shooting performance. Ish Smith and Davis Bertans chipped in 21 points apiece off the Washington bench.

Washington C Ian Mahinmi (Achilles) went through his first practice on Tuesday and is expected to back up C Thomas Bryant when he returns. The Hornets rank 25th in the league in defensive efficiency, while the Wizards rank last in that category. Take the over on Friday. Final Score Prediction, Washington Wizards 123-117.
