The Hornets are a game below .500 overall and currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. Last time out, Charlotte fell behind by 24 points at halftime of an ugly 122-84 home defeat. The Hornets were outrebounded by a 65-51 margin and shot just 36 percent from the field.
Charlotte G Kemba Walker tallied a team high 11 points on an inefficient 4-for-14 shooting performance. Bismack Biyombo added ten points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.
The Denver Nuggets have won four straight games and sit atop the Western Conference standings by 1.5 games. On Thursday, Denver outscored Sacramento by 13 points during the third quarter of a 117-113 road victory against Sacramento. The Nuggets dominated the Kings by a 68-39 discrepancy on the boards and shot 46 percent from the floor.
Denver G Jamal Murray scored 17 of his game high 36 points during the fourth quarter to lead the comeback. Nikola Jokic contributed 26 points and 13 rebounds for the Nuggets.
