The Barclays Center will play host to a Wednesday night NBA clash between the Charlotte Hornets and Brooklyn Nets.
The Hornets have split their first 32 games and are currently in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. On Sunday, Charlotte was outscored by 18 points during the second quarter of a 119-103 road loss against Boston. The Hornets were outrebounded by a 56-49 margin and shot 43 percent from the field.
Charlotte G Kemba Walker tallied a team high 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting and dished out four assists. Willy Hernangomez added 19 points and ten rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.
The Brooklyn Nets have won eight of their previous ten games and have their sights set on the postseason. The Nets are three games below .500 overall and trail Detroit by one full game for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Last time out, Brooklyn built a 17-point lead after three quarters and cruised to a 111-103 home victory versus Phoenix. The Nets out rebounded the Suns by a 60-45 margin and shot 47 percent from the floor.
Brooklyn G Spencer Dinwiddie led six Brooklyn players in double figures with 24 points and seven assists. Rodions Kurucs chipped in 16 points and ten rebounds for the Nets.
