Hornets at Hawks 2/9/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Southeast Division foes will clash on Saturday night, when the Charlotte Hornets visit the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hornets have dropped consecutive games and are currently tied with Miami for seventh place in the East. On Wednesday, Charlotte was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 99-93 road loss against Dallas. The Hornets were out rebounded by nine and shot just 40 percent from the field.

All-Star G Kemba Walker led all scorers with 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds and six assists. Jeremy Lamb added 15 points and five rebounds for the Hornets. The Atlanta Hawks have lost 14 of their 22 home games and are rebuilding under the leadership of rookie head coach Lloyd Pierce. On Thursday, Atlanta built an early 17-point lead before falling versus Toronto by a 119-101 final score. The Hawks were outrebounded by a 60-50 margin and shot 45 percent from the field in defeat.

Rookie G Trae Young led Atlanta with 19 points on a 7-for-14 shooting performance. John Collins added 12 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort for the Hawks.

Charlotte G Tony Parker (back) has been officially ruled out for this contest. The Hornets rank in the middle of the pack in offensive efficiency and the Hawks rank 25th in that category. These teams know each other well and that will keep this game from going over the total. Final Score Prediction, Charlotte Hornets win in low scoring under game 111-110.
