The Wednesday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and Boston Celtics from TD Garden.

The Hornets have split their previous ten games and are 2.5 games ahead of Detroit for the final playoff spot in the East. On Monday, Charlotte outscored New York by nine points during the fourth quarter of a 101-92 home victory. The Hornets out rebounded the Knicks by eight and limited them to 40 percent shooting.

Jeremy Lamb and Tony Parker led six Charlotte players in double figures with 15 points each. Kemba Walker chipped in 14 points and five assists for the Hornets.
The Boston Celtics have won 20 of their 26 home games and have yet to prove themselves as the Eastern Conference preseason favorites. On Monday, Boston limited Brooklyn to just 16 points during the fourth quarter of a 112-104 home victory. The Celtics assisted on 29 of their 45 made field goals and shot 45 percent overall.

Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart scored a team high 21 points apiece on a combined 16-for-31 shooting effort. Al Horford contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics.

Boston G Kyrie Irving is dealing with a left hip strain and is listed as doubtful to play in this contest. The Celtics rank second in the league in defensive efficiency and the trends point towards the under. Look for Boston to win a low scoring affair on Wednesday. Final Score Prediction, Boston Celtics win but the under is our top play 105-98.
