Heat at 76ers 4/24/18 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Tuesday night NBA Playoff doubleheader on TNT, the Miami Heat will visit the Philadelphia 76ers for Game Five of their best-of-seven series. The sixth-seeded Heat stole Game Two on the road, but were unable to sustain the momentum at home. Miami lost both games at the American Airlines Arena, including a 106-102 defeat in Game Four on Saturday. The Heat held a 58-44 margin in points scored in the paint and shot 44 percent from the field.

Dwyane Wade led all scorers with 25 points on a 10-for-22 shooting performance in 26 minutes off the bench. James Johnson added 15 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort for the Heat. The Philadelphia 76ers have asked their fans to trust the process and now can reward them with their first trip to the conference semifinals since 2012. The third-seeded 76ers were doing their best to give away Game Four before outscoring Miami 27-19 in the final quarter. Philadelphia turned the ball over 27 times, but outrebounded Miami by a 65-56 margin. The 76ers missed 24 of their 31 long distance attempts and shot 43 percent overall.

All five Philadelphia starters scored in double figures and were led by J.J. Redick with 24 points. Ben Simmons contributed 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists for the 76ers.

Miami G Josh Richardson is dealing with a shoulder contusion and plans to play in this contest. The 76ers grew up in a big way with their Game Four road victory. Closing out a series is always the toughest thing for a young team, so taking the points is the right play on Tuesday. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia 76ers win but fall short ATS 107-104.
