Southeast Division foes will clash on Wednesday night, when the Atlanta Hawks visit the Washington Wizards.
The Hawks have won five of their previous seven games and are led by rookie G Trae Young (15.6 ppg). On Monday, Atlanta was outscored by 13 points during the third quarter of a 116-108 road loss against Indiana. The Hawks won the battle on the boards by 12, but turned the ball over 17 times in defeat.
Second year pro John Collins led Atlanta with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Trae Young added 16 points and seven assists in a losing effort for the Hawks.
The Washington Wizards have dropped 23 of their first 37 games and are one of the most disappointing teams in the league. On Saturday, Washington survived a Kemba Walker 47-point assault during a 130-126 home victory versus Charlotte. The Wizards knocked down 13-for-37 from long range and shot 52 percent overall.
Trevor Ariza led seven Washington players in double figures with 24 points and nine assists. Thomas Bryant contributed 21 points and ten rebounds for the Wizards.
