The Sunday night NBA schedule will tip-off with a matinee between the Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons from Little Caesars Arena.
The Hawks have won consecutive games and are rebuilding around rookie PG Trae Young (15.5 ppg). Last time out, Atlanta outscored New York by nine points during the fourth quarter of a 114-107 road victory. The Hawks dominated the glass by a 63-41 margin and shot 47 percent from the field.
Kent Bazemore led seven Atlanta players in double figures with 22 points and six rebounds. Trae Young contributed 15 points and ten assists for the Hawks.
The Detroit Pistons have dropped eight of their last ten games and are still trying to find their way under the leadership of first year head coach Dwane Casey. On Friday, Detroit was outscored in each quarter of a 98-86 road loss against Charlotte. The Pistons were outrebounded 60-48 and shot just 39 percent from the floor.
Detroit F Blake Griffin tallied a team high 23 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. Andre Drummond added 17 points and 16 rebounds in a losing effort for the Pistons.
