Hawks at Pistons 10/24/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Thursday night NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Detroit Pistons from Little Caesars Arena. The Hawks finished last season with a 10-14 record after the All-Star Break and head into this year with reason for optimism. Much of Atlanta’s hope rests on the shoulders of second-year G Trae Young, who averaged 19.1 points and 8.1 assists as a rookie.

PF John Collins is entering his third year in the NBA and is Young’s primary target on pick-and-roll plays. Sharp-shooting G Kevin Huerter is responsible for spacing the floor for the Hawks.

The Detroit Pistons will be playing without F Blake Griffin (hamstring) until the beginning of next month and are hoping to contend for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Last night, Detroit started their season off on the right note with a 119-110 road victory versus Indiana. The Pistons outscored the Pacers 36-24 over the final 12 minutes and held a 45-36 advantage on the glass.

Detroit C Andre Drummond matched a career high with 32 points and pulled down 23 rebounds. Luke Kennard connected on 6-for-9 from the three-point line and contributed 30 points off the bench.

Atlanta G Allen Crabbe (right knee rehab) is unlikely to see the court until mid-to-late November. The Hawks will look to push the tempo against the Pistons, who are playing on consecutive nights. Take the over. Tough back to back spot for Detroit facing rested Hawks, Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Hawks win and cover ATS but our best play is the over 118-115.
