The Monday NBA schedule will get underway with a matinee between the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers from Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Hawks have won consecutive games and are led in scoring by rookie G Trae Young at 15.6 ppg. On Saturday, Atlanta made the plays down the stretch of a 111-108 home victory versus Cleveland. The Hawks outrebounded the Cavaliers by a 65-51 margin and shot 44 percent from the field.
Rookie Trae Young and veteran Vince Carter led Atlanta with 21 points each. John Collins contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks.
The Indiana Pacers have won four straight games and are currently 1.5 games behind the leaders atop the Eastern Conference standings. On Friday, Indiana outscored visiting Detroit by 24 points during the second half of a lopsided 125-88 victory. The Pacers forced 22 turnovers and shot a sizzling 60 percent from the floor on the night.
Indiana F/C Domantas Sabonis led a balanced scoring attack with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner chipped in 17 points apiece for the Pacers.
