The Friday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers from the Wells Fargo Center.
The Hawks are 17 games below .500 overall and in last place in the Southeast Division. On Wednesday, Atlanta raced out to a 15-point lead after one quarter before faltering late during a 116-100 road loss against Brooklyn. The Hawks turned the ball over 22 times and shot just 36 percent from the field.
Second year pro John Collins tallied a game high 30 points on 12-for-21 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds. Rookie Trae Young added 17 points and seven assists for the Hawks.
The Philadelphia 76ers own the best home record in the league and are 3.5 games behind Milwaukee for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Last time out, Philadelphia fell behind by 15 points at halftime of a 123-106 road loss against Washington. The 76ers turned the ball over 24 times and shot 43 percent overall in defeat.
Philadelphia C Joel Embiid led all scorers with 35 points on 11-for-17 from the floor and pulled down 14 rebounds. Ben Simmons added 15 points and ten rebounds for the 76ers.
