The Memphis Grizzlies look to snap a five-game losing streak on Monday when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans. The Grizzlies lost to San Antonio 108-88 on Saturday night for their fifth consecutive loss. Mike Conley led the Grizzlies with 21 points in the loss. Memphis committed 21 turnovers in the loss and shot just 37.8% from the field.
New Orleans is coming off a 35-point win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. New Orleans defeated the Cavs 133-98 on Saturday behind 22 points each from Julius Randle and Jrue Holiday. Randle led the Pelicans in rebounds as well with 12. The Pelicans outrebounded the Cavaliers 50-44 and shot 58% from the field and 51.9% from 3-point territory.
Mike Conley leads the Grizzlies in scoring and assists with averages of 20.2 points and 6.1 assists per game. Marc Gasol is the leading rebounder and second leading scorer with averages of 8.6 rebounds and 15.7 points per game. Memphis is shooting 45.5% from the field and 34.5% from three-point territory.
Anthony Davis is leading the Pelicans in scoring, rebounding and blocks with averages of 28.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. Jrue Holiday is leading the team in assists with an average of 8.4 per game. New Orleans is shooting 47.9% from the field and 35.7% from three-point territory.
