Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers 10/19/21 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Staples Center will play host to a Tuesday night NBA clash between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors finished last season ranked fifth in defensive efficiency, but failed to qualify for the postseason. On Friday, Golden State outscored Portland by 17 points in the third quarter to pull away for a 119-97 home victory.

All-Star G Steph Curry poured in a game-high 41 points on 7-for-14 from the three-point line. Jordan Poole chipped in 16 points and three rebounds for the Warriors.

The Los Angeles Lakers failed in their NBA Championship defense and were eliminated by Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs. In the offseason, the Lakers completed a major overhaul and now feature the oldest roster in the league. On Thursday, Los Angeles was unable to make the plays down the stretch of a 116-112 road loss against Sacramento. 

All-Star F LeBron James led all scorers with 30 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists. Anthony Davis added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Lakers, who finished winless in the preseason.
