The Atlanta Dream looks for its second straight victory on the road when they visit the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. The Dream defeated the Seattle Storm 77-66 on the road Friday night. The win was Atlanta’s first on the road this season. Tiffany Hayes led the Dream with 21 points while Brittney Sykes scored 11, pulled down eight boards and handed out five assists in the win.

Phoenix had its three-game winning streak snapped following its 80-76 loss at home to the New York Liberty on Friday. The Mercury were led in the loss by Brittney Griner with 30 points and eight boards. DeWanna Bonner scored just nine points on 3-for-13 shooting after entering the game as the WNBA leading scorer with an average of 20.2 points per game.
Tiffany Hayes leads the Dream in scoring with an average of 12.8 points per game. Jessica Breland is leading in rebounding with an average of 6.5 rebounds per game. Renee Montgomery leads the Dream in assists with an average of 3.0 per game. Brittney Sykes is the only other member of the Dream averaging double figures in scoring with an average of 11.0 points per game.

DeWanna Bonner leads the Mercury in scoring and in rebounding with averages of 19.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Brittney Griner is second in scoring and second in rebounding with averages of 18.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Leilani Mitchell leads in assists with an average of 4.6 per game.

DeWanna Bonner and her Phoenix teammates are coming off a tough loss at home to New York and will look to bounce back in front of their fans at home. Bonner missed 10 of 13 from the field to score 11 points below her season average. Atlanta won its first game on the road this season on Friday night but winning two straight on the road will be a hard nut to crack.
