The Atlanta Dream heads to the Big Apple on Friday in an attempt to snap its 12-game losing streak when they visit the New York Liberty. The Dream were beaten by the Chicago Sky on Tuesday 87-83 and fell to 5-22. The Dream held a 44-36 halftime lead but could not hold on after the break. Tiffany Hayes led Atlanta with 27 points, while Alex Bentley scored 10.

The Liberty snapped their eight-game losing streak with an 82-76 victory over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday. Tina Charles led the Liberty with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Charles’ three blocks helped the Liberty control the paint in the win over Indiana. New York overcame 15 turnovers by shooting 42.9% from three-point territory. 

Tiffany Hayes leads the Dream in scoring with an average of 14.4 points per game. Jessica Breland is leading in rebounding with an average of 6.8 rebounds per game. Hayes leads the Dream in assists with an average of 2.9 per game. Brittney Sykes is the only other Dream player averaging double figures in scoring with an average of 10.7 points per game.

Tina Charles is leading New York in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.7 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Kia Nurse is second in scoring with an average of 14.2 points per game. Brittany Boyd is the assists leader with an average of 4.7 per game. Just Charles and Nurse are averaging double figures in scoring for the Liberty.
