On Saturday, the Atlanta Dream (6-4) visit the Indiana Fever (0-10) in a WNBA Eastern Conference showdown.
This is the second half of a home-and-home between the two teams. On Thursday, the Dream hosted the Fever and won 72-67. Tiffany Hayes led the Dream offensive attack with 23 points while Layshia Clarendon scored each of her nine points during a key fourth quarter rally by the Dream. The Dream trailed by two points entering the fourth quarter after scoring just eight third quarter points, but rallied to win by five.
Candice Dupree led the Fever with 17 points, while Victoria Vivians and Tiffany Mitchell each scored 13. The Fever will look for help from its home crowd in its attempt to win for the first time this season after 10 straight losses.
Tiffany Hayes leads the Dream in scoring with an average of 19.0 points per game. Angel McCoughtry is second in scoring and second in rebounding averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Jessica Breland leads the team in rebounds with an average of 9.3 per game. Renee Montgomery leads the team in assists with an average of 2.9 per game. The Dream are scoring an average of 74.8 points per game.
Kelsey Mitchell leads the Fever in scoring with an average 17.4 points per game. Candice Dupree is the second leading scorer and leader in rebounds with an average of 14.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Two other players Tiffany Mitchell (10.8 ppg) and Natalie Achonwa (10.0 ppg) are the only other players averaging double figures in scoring. Erica Wheeler leads the team in assists with an average of 5.1 per game.
