On Friday, the Atlanta Dream (3-3) look win their second straight when they visit Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Aces (1-5).
Atlanta was victorious on Tuesday 82-77 over the Connecticut Sun. The Dream gave the Sun their first defeat of the season. Tiffany Hayes led the Dream with 22 points while Damiris Dantas chipped in with 15.
The Aces were beaten by the Chicago Sky in their last outing 95-90. In the loss Dearica Hamby led the Aces with 24 points while A’ja Wilson scored 22 points. Hamby hit 11 of her 13 field goals in the loss. The Aces shot 51.5% from the field but were out-rebounded 40-29 by the Sky.
Tiffany Hayes leads Atlanta in scoring averaging 17.3 points per game. Angel McCoughtry is the second leading scorer and second leading rebounder with averages of 15.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Renee Montgomery is the only other player averaging double-figures in scoring for the Dream at 10.7 points per game and she leads the team in assists with an average of 3.2 per game.
A’ja Wilson leads the Aces in scoring and rebounding averaging 21.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Three other players are averaging in double figure in scoring led by Kayla McBride with an average of 14.3 points per game. Lindsay Allen leads the Aces in assists with an average of 4.2 per game. Hamby is leading the team in field goal percentage shooting 73.1% from the field hitting 19 of her 26 field goals.
