Ftx Arena will play host to a Tuesday night NBA battle between the Detroit Pistons and the Miami Heat. The Pistons (18-50) have dropped 27 of their 34 road games and own the second worst overall record in the East. On Sunday, Detroit was outscored by 18 points during the second half of a 106-102 home loss versus LA.
All five Detroit starters scored in double figures and were led by Cade Cunningham with 23 points. Jerami Grant added 21 points and five rebounds for the Pistons.
The Miami Heat are 15 games above .500 at home and hold a 2.5 game lead for the top-seed in the Eastern Conference. On Saturday, Miami managed just 37 points over the final 24 minutes of a 113-104 home loss versus Minnesota. The Heat (45-24) shot just 40 percent from the field and turned the ball over 18 times in defeat.
Miami G Tyler Herro led all scorers with 30 points and seven rebounds in 37 minutes off the bench. Bam Adebayo added 19 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort for the Heat.
