Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz 4/23/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 04/22/2022 at 3:16 PM ET

In the second game of a Saturday NBA playoff quadruple header, the Dallas Mavericks will battle the Utah Jazz from Vivint Arena. The fourth-seeded Mavericks (52-30) closed the regular season on a four-game winning streak and have carried that momentum into the postseason. On Thursday, Dallas connected on 18-for-42 from the three-point line during a 126-118 road victory against Utah.

Jalen Brunson led seven Dallas players in double figures with 31 points on 12-for-22 shooting and dished out five assists. Spencer Dinwiddie contributed 20 points, six assists, and five rebounds for the Mavericks.

The Utah Jazz took the series opener in Dallas, but have been unable to take advantage of Luka Doncic’s absence. In Game Three, Utah trailed by 17 points at halftime and cut the lead to one with less than seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. The fifth-seeded Jazz (49-33) converted 31-for-33 from the free-throw line and shot a sizzling 57 percent overall.

All-Star G Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 32 points on 10-for-21 from the field and handed out six assists. Bojan Bogdanovic added 24 points and six rebounds in a losing effort for the Jazz.

Dallas G Luka Doncic (calf) has missed the first three games of this series and is considered questionable for this contest. These two teams ranked in the top ten in defensive efficiency, so the under is my lean on the total. The stronger play is on Utah to cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Utah Jazz win 109-99.
