Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Pelicans 10/25/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

The Mavericks (1-1) reached the Western Conference Finals and are led by superstar G Luka Doncic. On Saturday, Dallas raced out to a 22-point lead after one quarter and kept the foot on the gas during a 137-96 home victory versus Memphis.

Dallas G Luka Doncic led all scorers with 32 points to go along with ten assists and seven rebounds. Christian Wood contributed 25 points and 12 rebounds off the bench for the Mavericks, who dominated the Grizzlies on the glass by a 52-29 margin.

The New Orleans Pelicans acquired G C.J. McCollum at last season’s trade deadline and enter this season as a serious contender in the Western Conference. On Sunday, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram suffered minor injuries during a 122-121 overtime loss versus visiting Utah. The Pelicans (2-1) outscored the Jazz 26-17 in the fourth quarter to force the extra session and shot 47 percent overall.

New Orleans G C.J. McCollum tallied a team-high 28 points on 12-for-25 from the field and dished out 12 assists. Trey Murphy III added 16 points and nine rebounds off the bench for the Pelicans, who held a 28-13 advantage in fast break points.

New Orleans F Zion Williamson (hip) is listed as questionable and F Brandon Ingram (concussion) will miss this game. These two squads rank in the top ten in defensive efficiency and neither plays fast. Look for the under to cash. Final Score Prediction, Dallas Mavericks win 111-107.
