Dallas Mavericks at Brooklyn Nets 10/27/22 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Thursday NBA TV doubleheader, the Dallas Mavericks will travel to the Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets. The Mavericks (1-2) are fresh off a Western Conference Finals run and have built a solid group of complimentary players around All-Star G Luka Doncic (34.7 ppg). On Tuesday, Dallas allowed New Orleans to shoot a sizzling 58 percent from the field during a 113-111 road loss. 

Dallas G Luka Doncic poured in a game-high 37 points (16-30 FG) to go along with 11 rebounds and seven assists. Spencer Dinwiddie added 24 points and five assists for the Mavericks, who outrebounded the Pelicans by a 37-26 margin.

The Brooklyn Nets had a turbulent offseason, but managed to keep their star players together in the hopes of making a title run. The Nets (1-3) have shown the ability to score against anyone and must improve on a defense that ranks last in the league in efficiency. Last night, Brooklyn was outscored by 23 points during the second half of a 110-99 road loss against Milwaukee. 

All-Star F Kevin Durant led Brooklyn with 33 points on 10-for-23 shooting and pulled down six boards. Kyrie Irving added 27 points and nine rebounds for the Nets, who were dominated on the glass by a 54-37 margin.
