Clippers at Warriors 10/24/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 10/25/2019 at 8:49 AM ET

The final game of the Thursday night NBA schedule will feature a clash between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors from the brand new Chase Center. On opening night, Kawhi Leonard’s debut was a major success in leading the Clippers to a 112-102 home victory versus the Lakers. Patrick Beverly led a defensive charge in the fourth quarter that limited the Lakers to just 17 points.

Kawhi Leonard led all scorers with 30 points on a 10-for-19 shooting performance and grabbed six rebounds. Lou Williams contributed 21 points and seven assists off the bench for the Clippers.

The Golden State Warriors have appeared in the NBA Finals in five straight seasons, but are unlikely to go back. Injuries derailed Golden State in their run for a fourth title in five years, when Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were both lost in the Finals. Durant departed in free agency to Brooklyn, but the Warriors were able to get All-Star G D’Angelo Russell in a return sign-and-trade.

Golden State G Steph Curry took a backseat with Durant in town, but is primed to have a season in which he figures to compete for the scoring title. Draymond Green bring toughness to a team that added Willie Cauley-Stein in the frontcourt.

Golden State G Klay Thompson is recovering from an ACL injury suffered in the NBA Finals and is unlikely to play this season. The Clippers are coming off an emotional victory against their rivals and could be flat against the Warriors. Take the home team. Final Score Prediction, Golden State Warriors win and cover ATS 119-112.
