Clippers at Raptors 12/11/19 - NBA Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Wednesday night NBA on ESPN doubleheader, the Los Angeles Clippers will travel to Scotiabank Arena to face the Toronto Raptors. The Clippers (18-7) have won consecutive games and trail the Lakers by 3.5 games for the best record in the Western Conference. On Monday, Los Angeles played without Kawhi Leonard (rest) during a 110-99 road triumph against Indiana.

Los Angeles G Paul George silenced boos from his former fans and finished with a game high 36 points. Montrezl Harrell contributed 26 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Clippers.

The Toronto Raptors won a championship with Kawhi Leonard and have moved on well after he signed with the Clippers in the offseason. The Raptors are nine games above .500 overall and rank second in the league in defensive efficiency. On Monday, Toronto made a final defensive stop on Zach LaVine in the closing seconds of a 93-92 road victory against Chicago.

Toronto F Pascal Siakam led all scorers with 22 points on 7-for-18 shooting and grabbed six rebounds. Kyle Lowry chipped in 11 points to go along with seven assists and seven rebounds for the Raptors.

Toronto G Fred VanVleet (knee) was unable to play on Monday night and is listed as questionable for this matchup. The Raptors have been one of the best teams defensively and will be motivated to shut down Kawhi in his return. Take Toronto to win and cover at home. Final Score Prediction, Toronto Raptors win and cover ATS 112-105.
