The Saturday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and Detroit Pistons from Little Caesars Arena.
The Clippers have lost consecutive games and lead the Lakers by one full game for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. On Thursday, the Clippers erased a 14-point fourth quarter before falling in overtime of a 123-120 home loss versus the Lakers. The Clippers were out rebounded by a 68-59 margin.
Lou Williams led seven Clippers in double figures with 24 points and six assists. Patrick Beverley added 17 points and eight rebounds in a losing effort.
The Detroit Pistons have split their previous ten games and are currently two games behind Charlotte for the final playoff spot in the East. On Thursday, Detroit squeezed by a short-handed Dallas squad by a 93-89 final score. The Pistons out rebounded the Mavericks by a 61-53 margin and shot 38 percent from the field.
Detroit C Andre Drummond tallied a team high 24 points and pulled down 20 rebounds. Blake Griffin contributed 24 points to go along with ten rebounds and six assists.
