The Pepsi Center will play host to a Western Conference showdown between the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.
The Clippers have won three straight games and are currently in fourth place in the conference standings. On Tuesday, Los Angeles outscored Charlotte by 14 points during the second half of 128-109 home victory. The Clippers knocked down 14-for-30 from long range and shot 52 percent overall.
Lou Williams poured in a game high 27 points and ten assists in just 25 minutes off the Los Angeles bench. Montrezl Harrell contributed 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers.
The Denver Nuggets have won 16 of their 19 home games so far this season and lead Golden State by one full game for the best record in the West. On Tuesday, Nikola Jokic made a basket with 2.4 seconds remaining to lift Denver to a 103-99 victory at Miami. The Nuggets outrebounded the Heat by a 61-45 margin and shot 47 percent from the field.
Denver C Nikola Jokic led all scorers with 29 points to go along with 11 rebounds and ten assists. Jamal Murray chipped in 18 points and six assists for the Nuggets.
