The final game of the Monday night NBA schedule will feature a matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and the Portland Trail Blazers. This will be the second of a back-to-back on the road for Charlotte, who erased an eight-point lead in the final 70 seconds of last night’s 127-126 victory against Sacramento. The Hornets (16-17) assisted on 30 of their 45 made field goals and shot 54 percent overall.

Charlotte F P.J. Washington poured in a game-high 42 points on 15-for-23 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. LaMelo Ball contributed 24 points and 12 assists for the Hornets.

The Portland Trail Blazers are looking to snap a four-game skid and are currently tied with Golden State for sixth place in the Western Conference standings. On Friday, Portland was limited to 36 points over the final 24 minutes of a 102-93 road loss against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Trail Blazers (18-14) were outrebounded by a 59-52 margin and shot just 39 percent from the field.

All-Star G Damian Lillard poured in a game-high 35 points on 11-for-24 shooting and dished out seven assists. Enes Kanter added 11 points and 17 rebounds in a losing effort for the Trail Blazers.

Portland G C.J McCollum (foot) is scheduled for a re-evaluation on Tuesday and does not appear close to a return.The Trail Blazers rank eighth in the league in offensive efficiency, so the over is worth a look.
