The Monday NBA schedule will tip-off with a matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks from State Farm Arena. The Hornets (22-41) have split their previous ten outings and trail Orlando by six games in the race for the final playoff spot in the East. On Saturday, Charlotte raced out to a 13-point lead after one quarter and went on to score a 108-99 home victory versus Houston.

All five Charlotte starters scored in double figures and were led by Terry Rozier with 24 points. Devonte’ Graham chipped in 23 points and six assists for the Hornets.

The Atlanta Hawks have lost three straight games, but have positioned themselves nicely to contend for a playoff spot next season. On Saturday, Atlanta was blitzed by 20 points in the first quarter of a 118-101 road loss against Memphis. The Hawks (19-46) were dominated on the glass by a 71-53 margin and shot just 34 percent from the floor.

Atlanta F/C John Collins matched a game-high with 27 points on 9-for-16 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Trae Young missed nine of his ten three-point attempts and finished with 16 points for the Hawks.

Atlanta F Cam Reddish (back, leg) is being listed as questionable for this contest. The Hawks rank third worst in the league in defensive efficiency and have been playing poorly as of late. Take the Hornets to steal one on the road. Final Score Prediction, Charlotte Hornets win and cover ATS 114-111.
