Southeast Division rivals will clash on Sunday evening, when the Charlotte Hornets travel to State Farm Arena to take on the Atlanta Hawks. The Hornets (1-1) lost F Miles Bridges to a domestic violence suspension and could be in for a long season. On Friday, Charlotte trailed by 11 points after one quarter and were dominated on the glass during a 124-112 home loss versus New Orleans.

Gordon Hayward led six Charlotte players in double figures with 26 points (12-19 FG) and seven assists. Terry Rozier added 23 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds for the Hornets.

The Atlanta Hawks traded for Dejounte Murray in the offseason and should be one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. On Friday, Atlanta outscored Orlando by 11 points during the fourth quarter to pull away for a 108-98 home victory. The Hawks (2-0) held a 26-8 advantage in fast break points and shot 45 percent from the field.

All-Star G Trae Young matched a game-high with 25 points on 7-for-24 from the field and dished out 13 assists. John Collins contributed 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks.
