Last Updated: 01/16/2020 at 10:51 AM ET

In the first game of a Thursday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Boston Celtics will visit the Milwaukee Bucks. This will be the second of a back-to-back for Boston, who was outscored by 15 points during the second half of last night’s surprising 116-103 home loss versus Detroit. The Celtics (27-12) allowed the Pistons to shoot 60 percent from the field and turned the ball over 15 times on the night.

Boston G/F Gordon Hayward led all scorers with 25 points on an 11-for-15 shooting performance. Jaylen Brown added 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Celtics.

The Milwaukee Bucks are led by reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (30.0 ppg) and own the best overall record in the league with a 36-6 mark. On Tuesday, Milwaukee dominated from start to finish on their way to a convincing 128-102 home victory versus New York. The Bucks connected on 15-for-36 from the three-point line and shot 49 percent overall.

Giannis Antetokounmpo poured in a game-high 37 points and nine rebounds in just 21 minutes of action. Ersan Ilyasova chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds off the Milwaukee bench.

Boston F Jayson Tatum (sore right knee) did not play in last night’s loss and could play in this important matchup. These two teams rank in the top four in defensive efficiency and the Celtics will likely try to control the tempo. Take the under on Thursday. Final Score Prediction, Milwaukee Bucks win in low scoring under game 113-105.
