In the first game of a Thursday night NBA on TNT doubleheader, the Brooklyn Nets will travel to the Wells Fargo Center to take on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Nets (33-33) are five games above .500 on the road and hold a one-game lead for eighth place in the East. On Tuesday, Brooklyn raced out to a 14-point lead after one quarter and cruised to a 134-120 road victory against Charlotte.

Brooklyn G Kyrie Irving poured in a season-high 50 points on a 15-for-19 shooting performance. Andre Drummond contributed 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers acquired All-Star G James Harden from Brooklyn at the trade deadline and are sitting in second place in the East. On Monday, Philadelphia outscored Chicago in each quarter of a convincing 121-106 home victory. The 76ers (40-24) assisted on 29 of their 41 made field goals and shot 49 percent overall.

All-Star C Joel Embiid led all scorers with 43 points on 15-for-27 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds. James Harden added 16 points, 14 assists, and eight rebounds for the 76ers.

Brooklyn G/F Ben Simmons (back) is practicing with the team and has yet to decide when he will make his season debut. The Nets have been a much better road team and need to pick up victories when Kyrie Irving is available. Take Brooklyn to steal one in what should be a charged up environment. Final Score Prediction, Brooklyn Nets win 114-109.
