All-Star F Kevin Durant led Brooklyn with 37 points to go along with eight assists and six rebounds. Kyrie Irving added 19 points and six assists for the Nets.
The Charlotte Hornets have won consecutive games and are also locked in a three-way tie 2.5 games behind seventh place Toronto. On Saturday, Charlotte was able to make the plays down the stretch to earn a 123-117 home victory versus San Antonio. The Hornets (32-33) assisted on 29 of their 42 made field goals and shot 46 percent overall.
Terry Rozier led seven Charlotte players in double figures with 31 points and six assists. LaMelo Ball contributed 24 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for the Hornets.
